Sutton Beauty  is fairly new and we're still in the process of developing a high-ranking Google presence. There are many other Suttons in the UK, so search engine optimisation is challenging to say the least!  However, I was pleased that we had over 300 unique visitors in January who generally spent quite some time on the site. Unique visitors means, as you would expect, different persons who have visited us and is the most accurate measure of internet popularity. Do beware of people who refer to hits, which is a misleading term as it doesn't represent actual site visits. We had 37,125 hits in January. If only these were all actual people!

However, over a hundred individuals did spend between 5 minutes and an hour on the site with predictably the vast majority of visitors emanating from the UK. Sutton Beauty  is, however, becoming increasingly popular with many countries favoured by British expatriates. So we had quite a number of visits in January from the USA, South Africa, Spain, Canada and Australia. Incidentally, the most popular search engine phrase that led visitors to Sutton Beauty  was "Sutton Park St Helens" with "Sherdley Park" as the runner-up. 185 people added us to their favourites list. Not a bad idea as we'll be updating very regularly throughout 2007!
