Event Summary:
Sutton CC first team have put in a strong performance in the league this summer, although they were knocked out of the cup in the first round. The New Street side will be wanting to finish the season well and today, in their final Bromborough Paints Merseyside & Southport Cricket Alliance home game of 2009, they host Birkenhead St. Marys Cricket Club.

Sutton (St Helens) CC have been granted Community Club Development Fund (CCDF) status which means they receive funding to develop and promote cricket within the Sutton and St.Helens community. They've recently been awarded a grant of �19,857 for an artificial practice net system and an artificial pitch.

Sutton Cricket Club boast many qualified coaches and has five successful junior teams and three open age teams. The junior teams consist of under 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17 year olds and they are always on the look out for more players. The open age have a 1st XI, 2nd XI and a Sunday XI.
