St.Helens Ward Committees - make your voice heard
When:  Tuesday 15th September at 7.00pm - 9.00pm
Where:  Sutton Children's Centre, Ellamsbridge Road, St.Helens, WA9 3PY and Sutton Manor Primary School (Bold), Forest Road, St.Helens, WA9 4AT.
Event Summary:
This is your opportunity to make your voice heard! Ward Committees put local people in the driving seat of environmental change in their neighbourhoods.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Ward Committees are composed of:
  • Three Ward Councillors
  • Merseyside Police
  • Helena Housing
  • Community Empowerment Network representative
  • Tenants and Residents Associations
  • Parish Councillors
  • Faith Representative
  • Registered Social Landlords 
Each Committee has approximately £30,000 from the Council’s Environmental Protection budget to spend on projects to improve their local environment. Recently approved projects in Sutton will allow for improvements to Sutton Park including an additional footpath, the clean up of a Red Lion 'grotspot' and improvements to Millennium Green. Recently approved projects in Bold include the tidy up of Dunsop and Wray Avenues and Hornby Crescent, disabled access to the fishing pond on the Clock Face Colliery Country Park, tree planting at Four Acre and drainage for Walkers Lane allotments.

The Sutton Ward boundary runs along Marshalls Cross Road, down Clock Face Road to the old railway line at Clock Face and along the line route to Reginald Road. It includes the Junction area and up Robins Lane.
